Who is at particular risk of disease?
Children with a family history of atopic diseases (ie, a parent or sibling or close relatives suffering from a disease such as asthma or dermatitis) are at increased risk for childhood eczema.
Medical Advice
If one or both partners have atopy, should consult a physician specializing in allergy, which will advise on diet and other preventive measures to reduce the risk of your child developing eczema or other allergic disease child.
It is appropriate for your child wear cotton clothing, avoiding garments of wool and synthetic fabrics, which will cause increased sweating and skin irritation.
The use of moisturizers in these patients with dry skin, is recommended. Should be avoided irritating soaps in the bathrooms, most desirable being those with oat extracts.
Adults with asthma should take cold showers, using little soap and applied a lot of moisturizer several times a day. Oily substances may be added to the bathroom.
If the eczema begins to ooze small vesicles appear yellow or is likely to be infected and may need drug treatment, so you should consult your doctor immediately.
If you have been diagnosed with an allergy try to avoid the substance (allergen) that causes and situations that make it worse, such as stress, excessive exercise, very hot environments and extreme temperature changes.
