Acupuncture for Headache

Acupuncture is the technique of traditional Chinese medicine with its origin many years ago, based on the study of life energy that flows in the body, which demonstrates specific connections with the organs.

This technique has proven very effective in treating ailments of various kinds, the headache being one of them, because research has demonstrated the close connection that exists between a good treatment of acupuncture and the complete elimination of this malaise, showing that technique as a reliable option.

The headache is not recognized as a universal condition, i.e. they need to establish a preliminary examination specifying the number of symptoms that occur with it (such as location of pain, pain type, duration, frequency, etc.) Depending shall be made in a single acupuncture treatment.

Acupuncture for the Loss of Smell

The loss of sense of smell is a symptom of the smokers. Smoking causes this effect looks significantly damaged, so it loses functionality (along with taste, to a lesser extent) as the body of smokers declines. But smoking does not cause loss of smell.

The condition known as anemia is defined as the loss of olfactory function per se, and is associated with diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, among others. How to avoid it? Acupuncture offers solutions that are published in a recent study conducted by researchers at the University Of Cologne, Germany.

In this we worked with fifteen patients who received acupuncture treatment of ten sessions of thirty minutes a week, which measured their response to treatment in relation to olfactory functions.

After treatment the results were compared with those reached by a group of patients who had received Anosmia supplements of B vitamins for twelve weeks, noting that the acupuncture group had greater recovery. (more…)
